HOB Year Two Anniversary Report
Our Journey: From Humble Beginnings to Vibrant Growth
Look What the Lord Has Done: HOB Year Two Anniversary Report
Reflecting on the Year of Overflow
"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." — Isaiah 43:18–20
This year, we experienced an incredible season of growth at HOB, and we pause to acknowledge the goodness of God — because truly, He has brought us this far. What began in October 2023 with just 6 faithful members has grown into a thriving, Spirit-led church community — marking a 266.7% increase in just two years. Growth may seem small to some, but we are rejoicing and embracing the days of small beginnings.
We believe the Lord knows what we can handle, and He is building and growing His church according to His perfect plan — not according to the approach or blueprint of man.
Year Two was declared the Year of Overflow, and we have lived in the manifestation of that word. From increased membership to ministry multiplication, from Spirit-led worship to expanded outreach, we have witnessed God making “streams in the wasteland.” He is faithful to constantly reaffirm that He is with us, that He is for us, and that we must remain prepared for what He is about to do.
A recurring theme shared by many who visit the HOUSE is that they feel the love and welcome. They say it is the love that drew them in. This is of paramount importance to the leadership at HOB. We are cultivating a culture of love and respect so that God's people can find a spiritual home where they can grow and flourish in the destiny God has prepared for them — without having to endure a toxic environment. As Scripture tells us, “By this shall all men know that you are my disciples...” Love is the hallmark of our community, and it is what distinguishes us as a true spiritual family.
At the HOUSE, humility is the first fruit demonstrated and cultivated by the leadership, and the leaders that are great are called to serve — and serve with the heart of our Great Shepherd. We humbly solicit your prayers to help us to continue this demonstration of love as we move forward. We do not want the size or complexity of the church to change this commitment to loving one another. We are committed to leading God's church His way — 100% according to His Word.
There is no room for tradition, culture, dominating character, or opinion to usurp the authority of the Word of God in how the House of Bread is led. We submit fully to the Lord by adhering strictly to His Word. There is absolutely no power in tradition. For this reason, at HOB, the Word of God is our sole authority; anything outside of it will neither be adopted as doctrine nor imposed on anyone.
Everyone planted at HOB has a place and spiritual home here. As we endeavor to honor the Lord in our character and walk, we know that He will continue to lead us, keep us, and bless us according to His will.
Membership Growth & Impact: Numbers & Stories
Growth Rooted in God’s Faithfulness
Significance of the Month of October and HOB’s Anniversary
Our anniversary celebration falls in the month of Rosh Hashanah, at the start of the Jewish New Year, during what is known as the Ten Days of Repentance or the Days of Awe — a period of reflection, renewal, and recommitment. This is deeply significant to us as a church. As the global Church and Jewish community both entered into seasons of introspection and return to God, we also postured our hearts in reverence. We take our walk with the Lord seriously and we desire that He be pleased with us. Our prayer is that our ministry, our lives, and our decisions bring glory to Him alone.

Ministries at HOB: Worship, Discipleship, and Outreach
Sunday School Ministry: Planting Seeds for the Future
• Little Loaves Sunday School launched in September 2025
• Strategic outreach included Back-to-School kits, school supplies, treats, toys, affirmation cards, and launch invitations — distributed to over 150 local children
• Led by our new Head of Christian Education, consecrated in May 2025
The message from HOB is clear: Sunday School matters. We’ve shared this conviction throughout the launch to explain our raison d’être and will continue doing so as the ministry unfolds.
Sunday School is an investment in the next generation and a key element of evangelism. It serves as a door into the church for unchurched families and provides a biblical foundation during a child’s most formative years.
Research consistently shows that children engaged in Sunday School are more likely to make healthy choices and stay rooted in Christian values. Through this ministry, we are reaching both children and their families — shaping Kingdom citizens and discipling entire households.
Launching New Ministries
Women’s Ministry (Launched June 2025)
• Hosted the Women Who Flow Launch Conference
• Distributed spiritual care packages (devotional cards, consecrated olive oil)
• Outreach to local women’s shelters with personal care baskets
• Conducted a survey in November 2025 to assess spiritual and practical needs
Survey results revealed strong interest in:
• Cooking & baking classes
• Domestic and creative workshops
• Fellowship events and women’s meetings
These findings are shaping future offerings as we nurture women in both spiritual and practical ways.

A Final Word: All Glory to God
As we close this Year Two report, we pause again to say: To God be all the glory.
Everything we’ve experienced — the growth, the breakthroughs, the ministries launched, and the lives touched — is a direct result of God’s hand at work. We are simply stewards of His vision.
Thank you to every member, leader, volunteer, visitor, and supporter who has walked with us on this journey. Your prayers, service, and faith have helped shape The House of Bread into a vibrant, Spirit-led community.
We are just getting started. Year Three is already stirring with purpose, and we believe the best is yet to come.
Let’s keep showing up, pouring out, and building together — for His glory, by His Spirit, and on the foundation of His Word.
With love,
